IRCzone.org

Neo started using IRC in 1998 and was fascinated by how easy was to communicate with people from all over the world. After being a member of several IRC networks, both as a user and some where he was part of the administration, he decided to challenge himself to create one from scratch. At first it was hard because his limited knowledge of Linux didn't help much. However, with the help of friends he met on the networks he had joined, some hard work and after a lot of headaches IRCzone.org was born.

IRCzone.org was created with aid of the very same friends mentioned above, with the goal of forming a network for the sharing of knowledge, learning more about Linux, and the ability to make new friends in a safe & positive environment.

To help ensure the privacy and security of its users IRCzone.org restricts all traffic to port 6697 which utilises TLS/SSL.

IRCzone.org is a non-profit organization, it is a private network, and respect toward others is a key part of our ethos. Consequently, those who are found to disrespect other users on this network will be banned & removed from the network. Channels related to sex are forbidden, and if a channel is suspected of engaging in such activity it will be closed without prior notice.
